CMU 2010 Vision Fund
Request for Proposals (RFP)
There have now been three RFP cycles associated with the CMU 2010 implementation. As a result of proposals submitted in response to the RFPs, 28 have been awarded funding. Look under the Funded Projects menu for details about these projects.
Specific requirements for proposal submission include the following:
- Proposals should summarize the anticipated outcomes of the project and how it will be carried out to accomplish those outcomes.
- Proposals should address existing priorities, strategies and key performance indicators as outlined in CMU 2010. The project described in the proposal should be a major one with a significant impact on the accomplishment of the vision projected.
- Completed proposals must be submitted via email to the dean or senior officer who leads the unit of the project leader.
- The dean or senior officer reviews the material, ensures any questions he/she has are answered, then approves the proposal and emails it to Academic Affairs.
The Academic Affairs Office enters proposal details into a log, forwards to the appropriate Priority Committee, and tracks the progress of the proposal as it moves through the approval process.
Listed on the left are the documents used to support the proposal submission process. The next RFP round will be for FY10 with a deadline for submission of October 17, 2008.
