A Project to Explore Racial/Ethnic Diversity
Project # 200805
Project Team: Mary Senter, Angela Haddad, Chris Owens, Lisa Patterson, and Cherie Strachan
The aim of the project is to understand and improve
the climate for diversity at CMU. As of November 2007, one
segment of this multi-level project has been completed: the
study of CMU students and their perception of the climate
for diversity.
In February 2008, the results of the second segment of the project were distributed and are included here as well. This segment - the survey of CMU Faculty and Staff - was not a CMU 2010 Vision Fund project. Nevertheless, we provide this information because an assessment of CMU's climate for diversity necessarily affects the entire university community: students, staff and faculty. Together, these two studies paint a comprehensive picture of CMU's Climate for Diversity.
The Executive Summary (below) provides an overview of the findings and is a relatively short document. The Full Report is a comprehensive review of the findings. In order to view or print the files, you need to login using your CMU global ID and password.
