As we continue to build the next CMU strategic plan, we hosted a few Open Forums in February. All CMU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends were encouraged to join us for one (or both!) of our Open Forums.
The structure of these forums was a combination of presentation and discussion. The presentation portion informed participants how the ISPC has embedded the ideas brainstormed in the fall sessions into a few emerging strategic directions, while the discussion portion provided the opportunity to engage in thoughtful, reflective conversations about how the plan is developing.
To prepare for these forums, we asked participants to review the documents listed on the Emerging Strategic Directions page. This provided a full sense of context and rationale for why these directions are well-suited for CMU over the next few years, and with so much to cover in the session, there simply wasn't enough time to give this level of detail.
